This Privacy Policy explains how whisc inc. dba Subreddar (“Subreddar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our services.

1. What We Collect

Account Information

Username, email address, and encrypted password.

Billing Information

Collected and processed securely by Stripe or other payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.

Monitoring Keywords

Words and phrases you enter (brand names, product names, competitors) to perform your scans.

Scan Logs

We retain scan logs and relevant metadata for up to 12 months.

Usage Data

Basic analytics about feature usage, device type, and performance. This does not include personal messages or private Reddit content.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To perform scans and deliver alerts
• To manage your account and subscription
• To improve service reliability and accuracy
• To contact you regarding updates or support
• To prevent misuse and maintain security

Communications Information

When you enable email or SMS alerts, we may collect and store your email address, mobile telephone number, communication preferences, consent records, opt-in and opt-out timestamps, message delivery status, provider message identifiers, and related technical information.

Alert messages may contain your monitoring keyword, a portion of the matching public Reddit post or comment, the applicable subreddit, and a link to the detected content.

3. How We Share Data

We share data only with trusted vendors:

• Stripe (billing)
• Email/SMS providers
• Hosting & infrastructure partners

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate Subreddar, including payment processors, hosting providers, email delivery providers, messaging platforms, telecommunications carriers, and fraud-prevention providers.

These providers may process your monitoring keyword, alert content, email address, mobile number, and delivery information only as needed to provide the requested service, maintain security, comply with law, or troubleshoot delivery.

Mobile telephone information, SMS consent records, and SMS opt-in status will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share this information with messaging providers, telecommunications carriers, and other vendors solely as needed to deliver and support the Subreddar messaging program.

4. Your Rights

You may request:

• Access to your data
• Correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion of your data
• A copy of your stored data

5. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication, session management, and simple analytics. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Email and SMS Communications

Email Communications

We may send account invitations, password and security notices, billing messages, service announcements, support responses, and Reddit monitoring alerts by email.

You may disable optional mention-alert emails through your account settings. We may continue to send essential account, billing, security, and service communications while your account remains active.

SMS Communications

If you separately opt in to SMS alerts, Subreddar may send automated text messages concerning Reddit mentions, account activity, security, billing, support, and other requested service notifications.

Message frequency varies based on your monitoring targets, Reddit activity, and notification settings. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing a Subreddar subscription.

You may reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS messages or HELP for assistance. You may also contact support@subreddar.com. Opting out of SMS does not cancel your Subreddar subscription and does not automatically disable email or in-app notifications.

We may use shortened Subreddar links, such as subred.us/example, in alerts. These links redirect to the relevant Subreddar or Reddit content and may record basic security and delivery information when accessed.

We retain records of SMS consent, opt-out requests, delivery attempts, and message status as reasonably necessary to operate the service, honor your preferences, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable requirements.

7. Data Retention

We keep account information for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for billing, security, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes. Scan logs and detected mentions may be retained for up to 12 months unless a different retention period is shown in your account.

Communication consent records, opt-out records, message delivery records, and provider identifiers may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate consent, honor messaging preferences, investigate delivery issues, and comply with applicable requirements.

8. Age Requirement

Subreddar is available to users 16 years and older.

9. Security

We use encryption, secure storage, and access controls to protect your data. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

10. Reddit Disclaimer

Subreddar is an independent service and not affiliated with Reddit Inc. We monitor only publicly accessible Reddit content.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material updates may be communicated via email or in-app notice.
